We ordered the chorizo Benedict, banana nut pancakes, loaded potatoes, and a few other sides because everything on the menu looked too good to pass up. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The chorizo Benedict was perfectly spiced, with bold flavors that balanced beautifully with the creamy hollandaise. The banana nut pancakes were fluffy, rich, and just the right amount of sweet—a total standout. And those loaded potatoes? Comfort food heaven. Every bite was satisfying and packed with flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was just as impressive as the food—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they’re serving. There was a 30 minute wait on a Thursday at 11:00am. It is not a very big place. They do have outdoor seating. Super friendly and helpful staff. They anticipate needs with a smile. The food is really good! The standout - banana nana pancakes - wow these are amazing ! Piping hot deliciousness. Pancakes smothered in sliced banana and a syrupy sauce. So good you have to try and it’s huge! The lot so great - biscuit and gravy. Biscuit not fluffy or moist. Very dry. Gravy pretty good. Overall I would come here again and bring my family.
First I have to say I saw the 'google review at a 4.4 rating. It needs to be at a 5.5 rating. I my opinion. I sat outside but totally love the inside and how it is decorated. Lets start with the 'coffee' it's not super strong but very good and I do not like coffee in most places. But this coffee was pretty good. My favorite breakfast is chicken fried steak. I always get the gravy on the side as it usually the least likeable on the plate. BUT this gravey was different a tated home made to me. The only thing I was not fond of was the proposed 'grilled' onions. They were not as they were still cold and put right on top of my potatoes. I simply pushed them aside. I will recommend this little restaurant to all I know. The server was nice young man. I'll be back for sure.
It's a really nice country, style breakfast and lunch location.I highly recommend stopping by for a quick lunch. I got the adult grilled cheese, which was absolutely delicious. And I recommend getting the garlic fries alongside them.

The restaurant is located in a charming plaza and offers both beautiful indoor seating and a wonderful outdoor patio, which made for a perfect dining experience. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and every member of the staff was friendly and attentive. One thing that really impressed me was that they even offer a dog menu, which was such a thoughtful touch for those of us who enjoy dining out with our four-legged companions. Everything about the experience felt welcoming, relaxed, and enjoyable. Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and dog-friendly too—what more could you ask for? I can’t wait to return and highly recommend Violet Rooster to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast or brunch spot in Chino Hills!
This is hands-down our favorite spot in town! The food is incredible, and the breakfast is absolutely unbeatable. My family eats here constantly and we have never once been disappointed. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always so kind, polite, and welcoming. Plus, their rewards program is fantastic—it feels great to save $5 or $10 just for visiting our favorite place. You definitely need to stop by and try it!"
Don't skip this place! The food is amazing and portions are hearty. The restaurant is so cool in how it's decorated and was overall such a great to visit! Servers were so nice and we couldn't find one thing wrong with this place.
First time last week, it is one of unique place local that you should at least try once. Nice decor, it won’t bored you the moment you walked in. Each table and chairs ( yes each chair) is different. If you like antique decor and have an interest to check out some old collections. It is a place to go. Server is nice sorry forgot his name. The only thing I am a bit hesitant b/w 4-5 starts is food. Maybe I have very high expectations it was a little bit disappointed. But my kids and spouse said great for their dishes. So I have to try it again. The food portion is very decent. Irish coffee is very good. My first time and it is very unique (it is on the sweeter side for me) will come back try more foods for sure.
Violet Rooster might have just become one of our new favorite breakfast spots! From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible and everyone made us feel so welcome. The restaurant itself is colorful, fun, and full of personality, making it such a great place to start your day. The portions are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. We ordered the Banana Nana Nut Pancakes, the Chilaquiles, and their Famous Benedict, and every single dish was amazing. The pancakes were fluffy and packed with banana flavor, the chilaquiles were flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it's easy to see why the Famous Benedict is one of their signature dishes. The drinks were just as impressive as the food, beautifully presented, delicious, and definitely worth ordering. Between the amazing food, generous portions, fun atmosphere, and outstanding service, we already know we'll be back. Highly recommend if you're looking for a breakfast spot in Chino Hills!
